Region: Barbera d’Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Viticulture: Traditionally farmed south-east-facing Roscaleto vineyard in La Morra at 320 metres. White clay soils and vines around 40–45 years old. Short Guyot pruning, two green harvests and extremely low yields of around 0.5 kg per vine. Hand harvested.

Winemaking: Fermented for around 26 days in stainless steel, followed by malolactic fermentation in steel. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, around 30% new. Returned to stainless steel before bottling without filtration. 


Founded by Cesare Bussolo, a La Morra native, the winery excels in traditional Piedmont wines, emphasizing finesse. Under Roberto Voerzio's mentorship since 2007, Bussolo's low-yield, environmentally respectful approach marks him as a rising Barolo star, crafting wines of balance and elegance.
